A lady that dreams! She is an IT Professional that finally accomplished a childhood dream by self-publishing her first children's book, The Kid Too Cool for Cats. The inspiration for the book was her husband, Matt, who plays guitar and was a dog person until she brought him over to the cat side and showed him cats are cool. Laurie, a self-proclaimed crazy cat lady, is passionate about cats and helping cats get adopted from shelters. She volunteers at the Dallas Animal Services, and with the help from other non-profit organizations, Awwdoptable and Cat Behavior Solutions have been able to help save cats' lives. Laurie lives in Dallas with her husband and three cats and hopes to inspire other women to follow their dreams and write and publish the book they have in them.
